Reducing Carbon Footprint
Carbon footprint is defined as the total sets of greenhouse gas emissions caused by an organization, event, product or person. Your carbon footprint includes the greenhouse gasses you directly produce to heating your home, hot water, heat and air conditioning etc. along with the greenhouse gasses produced to design, manufacture, advertise, transport, and dispose of all the products that you own.
By reducing the total electrical current/power you place on the grid, you not only save the carbon used to generate that energy, you eliminate the associated transmission losses, and contribute to minimizing the grid capacity requirements that drive distribution conductor size (cost & its carbon footprint).
